Nokia N8 arriving before end of August?

Online seller sets retail date of 26th August
Nokia N8 the first Symbian smartphone ^ 3 :- The Finnish firm, Nokia could announce on Monday 14 new models incuding the most awaited Nokia N8. This is a high-end smartphone with a touchscreen of 3.5 inches, a digital camera with 12 megapixels and the latest version of Symbian OS ^ 3.
According to information from Tom’s Guide, Nokia should hold a press conference on Monday to announce the launch of 14 new models, among them, the N8 will also be introduced to the world. The is the first model to receive Symbian smartphone ^ 3.
It would be a high end device with a multipoint touch screen 3.5 inches, a digital camera 12 megapixels can capture 720p HD video and HDMI output. The N8 also supports DivX playback, and output is expected this summer.
We recall that Nokia will not participate directly at the Mobile World Congress (Barcelona, February 15 to 18), but the Finnish manufacturer has scheduled a series of events outside the room, just to steal the show from other manufacturers.

It was back in May when we got hands-on with the Nokia N8, but as yet, the finished handset has yet to hit our shelves. That wait could soon be over.

According to Nok Nok, the first Symbian^3 smartphone has appeared on the site of online retailer MobileFun, with a release date of August 26th and a price of £420. Of course, that's a sim-free price, expect to pay something nearer nothing for contract purchases when it lands on the networks.

It's a much-anticipated handset and could be a major turning point for Nokia. The company is still shifting a lot of handsets, but at the high end of the market, it's finding competition fierce.

That said, the N8 could be a seriously tempting proposition, with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, an all-new new interface and a 12-Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and HD video support, not to mention an integrated battery and external slots for both microSD and sim cards. If it's hitting the sim-free market, we expect it will hit the contract market around the same time, so look out for announcements about that very soon.
